
Viam, small village in Corrèze
Viam is a small french village, situated in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin Region.
In this little village of fewer than 200 inhabitants, the municipality covers 30 Km².
Surrounded by the communes of Bugeat, Saint-Hilaire-les-Courbes and Lestards, Viam is situated at 4 km North West frm Bugeat the biggest and nearest village.
Located at 672 meters of altitude, the Vézère river, the Echameil stream, the "under the Sucs" stream are the main stream flowing through the Viam municipality.
Viam is a part of the parc Regional and Natural parc of Millevaches in Limousin.

Viam, and its Church St Martin
Today, this patrimony has been restored by artists and artisans recognized by their know-how.
Geneviève Fourgnaud has been in charge of the stained glass windows. She has sublimated the lights through her art.
«The Church of Viam, is a place of worship, a cultural location ; as well as a place to stop in the Millevaches area. I wanted to propose of combination of religious and secular worlds. This is the way to introduce Saint Martin and the geographical situation of the Church, characterize by the presence of the water. "
These stained glasses windows are ont également remarquakables by the innovative technique used, the one of "dufusing". The colored glasses have been body tinted, cut and welded by heat by Aeliers Jaune d'Argent.
